Those embracing moments

Oh god, I have had my fair share of embracing moments but I really experienced a monty python moment yesterday. My morning started off well, even though Megan wasn't in the greatest of moods I still managed to reach Paddington by 9am to meet Steph. I had a hand over meeting with one of my nicer clients, Sharp. My client, Jenny, recently started at Sharp and she is just lovely, a mad Queen fan, very nice, a good laugh and professional with it. Steph and I were introduced to her boss, who was rather nice too, if you see what I mean!!. He was so refreshing because he was so excited about his products, so positive and well...just happy.

Now, I have done a few embracing things throughout my pregnancy, sneeze and wet myself, laugh so hard I snort, constantly bumping into things, people and animals with my bump and I have even fallen over in a train station during commuting hours, ripped a whole in my best maternity trousers and embarrassed a colleague that I am not that familiar with, he just didnt know where to put himself! very funny. But yesterday I think I topped it all.

I was in the middle of pitching CA, trying to justify why sharp should promote their solar panels and TV's in a computer mag (I mean, a bit far fetched by I need to feed my children). I felt the burning sensation creeping up my wind pipe that many us of pregnant women feel, then suddenly it all went horribly wrong and I burped, well thought that I burped but I actually brought up sick or bile or what ever you want to call it but I had no choice but to swallow it and continue pitching....god the things I do for Computeractive. Luckily Steph saved me without even knowing it, she continued talking about the LCD market whilst I quickly ate a biscuit to get rid of the taste of acid. Really quite horrid and it could have been a very embracing situation. I am becoming a liability.!

Just thought I would respond to the wetting comments and for all my mates that havent yet had the challenge of birth. One of the side effects of natural birth is the stretching of the pelvic floor muscles. Now if you remember to do your 50 exercises a day to strengthen your pelvics you may not suffer from the odd wetting but for most of us it is just normal to invest in tenner lady. I am even considering an opperation after the next one arrives!
