We enjoyed the weekend in the sun at Mum and Dads. Mum organised a small gathering for Gill Knight, as she has been living in New Zealand now for 4 years and is on her first visit back. Gill is a friend of mine as well as Mum and Dad, she is also Vickys mum. Vicky and her daughter, Lucy also came to visit from Somerset and they all stayed Chez Gays.
All week mum and dad have been frantically getting the house ready, not the usual tidying that most people do when guests come to stay, no, my parents were building a summer house, erecting fencing, terracing, building steps to the garden, foundations for the hot tub, sanding and oiling the decking. Now to put you in the picture the decking of my folks place is the size of my entire house, a great place for kids and grown ups to relax and BBQ. That is exactly what we did all afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.
We did have a few scary moments with children in the hot tub and the thought that we had lost my brothers puppy huskie dog but all ended well at the weekend
