Last weekend I reached my 35th week of pregnancy. I somehow got a second wind on Saturday and decided to take the girls to the park by foot. Well actually I had no choice really, Clinton took the car to play golf and I had to run away from the house as the dull Peter was bringing yet more potential buyers around to see the house. I really couldn't be bothered to sell the benefits of my lovely home to yet another cheesy couple so decided to get out of the house before they reached the door.
This proved quite a fate. I woke early and managed to hoover, scrub, polish, dust and tidy the entire house before 11am. Quite a feat as it was only 6 hours since some young chap thought that I was disabled! The next hour could have made it in a Carry on film. Megan has reached that point during her third year of life that everything can be done on her own. I did leave an hour to get her dressed in 2 socks, 1 vest, 1 pair of trousers, 1 jumper and 2 shoes. After 45 minutes of screaming 'me do it' 'no mummy, not like that' 'stop it mummy' Megan was still naked, the buyers were sitting in their car opposite the house, Erin was finally still and quite sitting in her pram and I was no nearer getting out of the door before Peter tried for the 45th time to sell my house. I finally forced Megans clothes on, strapped her into the double buggy and then struggled for approximately 1 1/2 minutes to physically get the buggy out of front door. All of this was infront of a rather embarrassed estate agent with his 4 viewers!! Funny enough we haven't had any feed back from them!!
By the time I reached the park, both kids were asleep and I was again in tears, baby 3 was kicking the life out of me, my knees were throbbing and I just felt entirely hopeless, weak and pathetic and all I wanted was a huge hug from Clinton and be told that everything was ok and that I actually look like Lara Croft before she started raiding the tombs. There I go again, living the fairy tale dream that everyone wishes for on their 30th birthday!.
